For those that want LOTOJA text updates like last year please let us know. However, it doesn't look like Jenn will have any help with my feed zones this year. So, there will probably be fewer texts and they may be delayed a little.

The Uninvited Guest

Tam and Tony had been driving across the country for days in a big box moving truck. They were moving from the east coast to Idaho so that Tony could start his graduate program. Before engaging in the last leg of the trip they stopped in Tooele, Utah to visit Jenn and Steve and rest for the night.

After a nice visit and meal everyone retired to bed for the evening. Tam and Tony decided to sleep in the basement rather than the guest room so that they would be less likely to be disturbed when Jenn and Steve got up before the roosters to get ready for work.

The alarm clocked sounded entirely too early as it did every morning. Jenn and Steve grudgingly crawled out of bed and began their quick morning rituals before heading off to catch the bus to the big city.

Just as Steve was heading off toward the kitchen to get his morning glass of Ovaltine there was a knock at the bedroom door. Upon opening the door Steve was surprised to see Tam awake at such an hour. Tam proceeded to inform Steve that someone was in the basement. Yes, you and your husband, Steve thought. After confused and blank stares Tam clarified that someone else was in the basement. Due to her calm demeanor and joking nature it took a while for Steve and Jenn to believe her.

Tam explained that some guy had recently come downstairs, introduced himself, and crawled into bed with them. They presumed that it must be one of Steve and Jenn's friends. Where was Tony during all of this? He was still in bed next to the uninvited guest.

Steve suggested that Tam have Tony come upstairs. Jenn called 911, but only after questioning Tam 3 or 4 more times to make sure it wasn't a joke. Then everyone went outside to wait for Tooele's finest. Everyone except for the uninvited guest. He was still sound asleep in the basement.

Tooele's finest arrived in a matter of minutes and went down to the basement to wake up the unexpected visitor. He claimed that his friend Matti had told him that he could stay there. Unfortunately, Steve and Jenn are not familiar with this Matti person so he got to take a ride in the police car.

It turns out that after watering the garden the evening prior to the uninvited guests arrival the back door was not locked. Matti's friend was lucky enough to find this door unlocked so that he could come in and get some much needed sleep.

If only Steve and Jenn could have forgotten to lock the back door a week ago when Jenn's brother and wife were coming to visit and Jenn accidentally left the wrong key for them. They had to go and get a hotel because Steve and Jenn would not be home until after the Tour de Park the following day. At least they got it right for Matti's friend.

For anyone that would like to play a game of Fantasy Tour de France go to the link and set up an account. You can't make selections until rosters are finalized, but that should be some time today or tomorrow. In the meantime, check out the rules and scoring. I will try to get some information about key riders to help with your selection. I'll have to work on that tonight. It's free and fun. So, play even if you don't have a clue who to pick for your team. (For some reason the link wasn't working. Just go to www.velogames.com).

RSS Section Added To The Site

I have built a new RSS Feed section for the site. It is still new and I will continue to work on it. I put it up so people could enjoy it and have an easy place to keep track of all their RSS Feeds. Feel free to add your favorites to the site so others can enjoy them too.

For those of you unfamiliar with RSS, it stands for Really Simple Syndication. Basically what it does is go to your favorite websites and grab the latest content. Then you can display it all in one spot to make it easy to find the new stuff you want to go look at.
